Once the appropriate hours have been flown, pilots are required to complete an open book exam. If they pass the exam, their Pilot Rank will be upgraded to the next level.
Second Officer 0-20 hours
First Officer 21-50 hours
Captain 51-250 hours
Senior Captain 251-500 hours
Senior Check Captain 501 + Hours

The usual deal...
If you are a new Pilot and haven't filed a PIREP yet, your status will show as Pending If you don't file a PIREP within 30 days of joining JSV, you will be removed from the Roster and will need to re-apply. If you haven't flown a flight within the last 60 days, your status will be shown as We will then contact you by email. If you don't file a flight within 30 days of becoming Inactive, you risk being removed from the Roster and you will lose your Pilot Number. All Active pilots are able to apply for extended leave. Click here to send an email to the Operations Department to apply for leave. If your status shows as Leave the "Last Flight" is the date your leave expires
